Admissions Procedures

If your appointment needs to be rescheduled or canceled, please contact us.  No show appointments hurt our business, especially during this difficult time.  Thank you so much for this courtesy in advance!

If you, anyone in your household, or your pet is sick, please reschedule for 2 weeks after the last person or pet in your household showed clinical signs.

Cats should be dropped off between 7:30 and 8:00am.  Dogs should be dropped off between 8:00-8:30am.  Due to the Covid19 pandemic, our clinic is practicing social distancing which means we are not allowing clients in the waiting room.  We realize that this may cause some delays in admissions in the morning but we ask that you respect our staff and other clients to help minimize the incidence of possible transmission.  Please review the short admissions video.

Please bring a mask or face covering and wear it when the technician comes out to your car.

During this time, we ask that you honestly assess your dog’s comfort level when going to the vet.  If you predict any difficulty during the morning drop off, please contact us to reschedule for a later date when some of our current policies will be more relaxed and allow for clients in the waiting room.

Please request any relevant records from your veterinarian or rescue and fax them to us at 732-796-0902, or email them to [email protected].  Please do this at least 3 days before your appointment.  This will expedite the admissions process in the morning, and minimize handling of papers.

Please be aware that although all animals should continue to be given water until the time of their appointment, adult animals must have food withdrawn the night before surgery at midnight. If your pet is four months or younger, they may have a small amount of food until 2 hours prior to drop off.

PLEASE NOTE: due to the length of Route 35, some GPS units place us in Keyport. Please verify where we are by finding us on Google or Bing, or call us if you have questions.

When you arrive, we will ask you to wait in your car for 5 minutes.  If no one comes out to greet you, please text us at the number displayed on our sign outside.  We will call you back as soon as a phone is available.  At that time, we will ask you a few short questions about your pet’s health, and your health.  We will go over what procedures will be performed, and let you know what your balance is.  At that point you can pay over the phone by credit card, or if you are using cash, our staff will take the payment.  Coming soon there will be an online payment link to pay as well that you may use after you check your pet in.  Prices depend on weight, the need for vaccines, and any add on services you might want, such as a microchip or comfy collar.

**Please consider a donation to our foodbank to help our rescue and TNR groups.  Dog food, Cat food, and litter will be appreciated.  You can drop any donations in a bin outside our side door.

We appreciate your business and thank you for your patience during this difficult time.

Thank you so much and we look forward to meeting your pet!

Testimonial

  • "Extremely nice and helpful! I was nervous about my dog going in for his neuter surgery, but they alleviated my nerves. Post surgery you have access to the vet’s emails for any questions or concerns! Would recommend 👍🏻"
